The Dorje represents balance in all things. It is intended to help quieten the mind and center ones energies. By holding a Dorje in your right hand near the heart it is said to express qualities of Wisdom. By keeping a Dorje in your house or alter it will bring peaceful energy in and drive out the obstacle energy. They are also symbolic of the most direct method of overcoming desire and attachment to attain enlightenment through one-ness with universal wisdom. The Dorje on top of the circle signifies male energy and method. The circle inside the Dorje is the female energy, wisdom; In Buddhism as in Tai Chi, the universal theme of the inseparability of male and female energies.
