"Humble Buddha" Hand Carved Wooden Statue - Small 10cm High x 12cm Wide

This this is a very peaceful posture. It enables the body to centre and is believed to open the "third eye". Also known as the "Shy, Sleeping or Weeping" Buddha. There are many stories behind the buddha, thus why the many different names.

One of the stories surrounding this buddha is of two warriors who fight constantly over a long period of time. Eventually one slays the other and takes off his mask only to find he has killed his own son. In this story he is called the "weeping buddha" and it is believed that if you touch him on the back he will then take on all your sorrow as well.
